Hi, friend! My name is Cat, and I often find it hard to define who I am, personally and professionally. I tend to introduce myself as a yoga teacher and writer, but my work and lifestyle extend far beyond that cookie mold.
The name Bend and Ascend best captures my passion for yoga and other forms of movement, and the incredible “high” it that comes with it.
I stumbled into the yoga practice in 2014, almost accidentally. By 2016, I completed my first yoga teacher training and began to explore my new identity as a teacher.
Since then, I have taught over 3,000 hours both in-person and online (thanks, COVID), completed another 300+ hours in training, and found my voice as a yoga teacher.
Meanwhile, I have continued exploring different forms of movement, from running and rock climbing, to boxing and aerial circus. Every practice serves as inspiration, and my teaching reflects a variety of yogic and non-yogic disciplines. Most importantly, we move with kindness and joy.
